
The University of Vermont has art all over campus. Wander around and see!
The Fleming Museum of Art continues with ”Oceanic Art and the Performance of Life”. In addition, they are presenting “High Trash”, work by eight artists using found materials to address issues of environmental degradation and sustainability. And, on March 19, “Andy Warhol’s Athletes” (image above) opens in the Wolcott Gallery.
The Dudley H. Davis Center has art on all levels, with rotating exhibitions taking place in the Livak Fireplace Lounge & Gallery on the 4th floor. Starting March 18 (Livak Fireplace Lounge, 4th Floor), “Alive” is 8″x8″ pieces of art on plywood by students, community members, staff/faculty. And starting March 12 (2nd Floor), UVM’s Real Beauty Campaign features portraits of UVM women.
The Francis Colburn Gallery shows exhibits during the fall and spring semesters. Be sure to check their website for the latest offering. Through March 2 is the UVM Staff and Faculty Exhibition.
Living/Learning Gallery typically features student exhibitions during the spring semester.
