Every September since 1993, during one weekend, the South End is transformed into a huge art party. The visual art is everywhere: in studios, in galleries, in hallways, in tents, and in the open air. On Friday the 11th, it all starts at 5PM with the Opening Reception/Celebration at Burton Snowboards (80 Industrial Parkway). Throughout the South End you can also see demonstrations, including: tortilla making, yoga, pot throwing, quilting, fabric art, glass beadmaking and much more. You can also play miniature golf, make art with your family or build or rebuild a chair for “chairity”. Not to be missed is the Juried Art Show at The Soda Plant, 266 Pine Street.

More on Saturday, including woodcarving, pet art, hand papermaking, airbrush painting and oil painting. The day wraps with the signature event, “Strut IV: The Art Hop Fashion Event” at 5 and 7PM at the SEABA Tent (Burlington Electric Department parking lot, 585 Pine Street). And finally, the famous Party, also at the SEABA Tent, which starts at 8PM and continues into the night.
