Melvin Harris is a Digital Artist from St. Albans
Melvin Harris says about his work: In my work one may perceive a facet of my dream life, catch a glimpse of a thought, experience or wish that I have had during my life. My art is strongly influenced by many years of studying various faiths, philosophies and religions as well as my various travels throughout the world. I intend for every image to be not only thought provoking but also appealing to the eye. I only produce limited series prints; never more than seven prints in any of the Fantasy/Surreal or Landscape work. My fractal abstracts are also limited prints and there are no more than ten in any series. All my work is digital [created using 3D modeling software, 3D landscape software and fractal generating programs] and printed on high quality watercolor paper using Epson Ultra-chrome inks. There is more information about Harris and his work at his Art Map Burlington Artist Database page.

About Melvin Harris:
Now a resident of Saint Albans, Melvin is a native of New York City. His interest in art began early in life when he spent a good deal of his after-school time studying art and frequenting both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. He intensively studied watercolor and acrylic painting, life drawing, graphic art and design, technical illustration and airbrush photo retouching during several decades that he lived in California.
While in California, he worked as a computer technician as well as a production manager for an advertising publication. In addition, he did freelance graphics and illustration.
Melvin’s preferred medium of expression is digital landscape and modeling software. He uses these programs to create one-of-a-kind images that inspire and amaze; these range anywhere from realistic pieces to ‘other-worldly’ abstracts.
