What is Art Map Burlington?

Art Map Burlington reports on contemporary art in Greater Burlington: exhibitions, events, art venues, and the work of local artists. The monthly print publication includes independently written, critical reviews and articles as well as exhibition listings and maps to venues. Its purpose is to promote contemporary art in the Greater Burlington area by informing the community about exhibitions, events, and the work of local artists. The print publication is 5.5”x8.5”, black-and-white with a color cover. The number of pages varies between 24 and 36 pages. The online edition includes all of the content of the print edition as well as information on art events in the Burlington area. An almost-weekly electronic newsletter highlights events and articles. Kasini House, a Vermont company, has been publishing Art Map Burlington since April 2006.

What is First Friday Art Walk?

First Friday Art Walk is a community event that takes place the first Friday of each month. The event is free and open to anyone. Between thirty and forty art venues are open between 5PM and 8PM for the Art Walk. Some venues have openings, talks, music, or other special activities. Others are simply open late. Individuals start their art walk by visiting any participating venue and picking up a copy of Art Map Burlington, the official publication of First Friday Art Walk. Art Map Burlington comes out two Wednesdays prior to the first Friday of the month. Comments, feedback, and inquires should be directed to:

Being a Featured Artist on the Cover

Art Map Burlington actively seeks artists to feature on the cover. To be considered, send an email to info@artmapburlington.com with the following: 1) A high-resolution (300dpi or better) image of your artwork; 2) a statement about the work or artist biography; and 3) your name and contact information including website if you have one. We will respond if interested.
